Company founder and owner Quirin, a southern guy born and raised in Maastricht (Limburg province), was inspired to establish his business in Amsterdam in early 2014 by a desire to bring the southern epicurean way of life to people in the north.
Local restaurants all wanted to serve his fresh, pre-fried frites on their menus, and soon his business could no longer handle the demand and had to relocate from its small premises.
Quirin then decided to continue FRITES UIT ZUYD as an artisan production facility specialising in frites and to dedicate himself to preparing frites for restaurants and other food retail establishments.
We grow our potatoes for maximum flavour, using traditional, sustainable production methods and based on the latest research, using only natural fertilisers and pesticides.
Our potatoes are manually sorted during harvesting so as to prevent bruising. We store them in wooden crates in optimum conditions and continually inspect them for quality.
All this ensures the tastiest potatoes and the most delicious frites.
OUR PRODUCTION FACILITY
Quality and hospitality come first at our production site. FRITES UIT ZUYD uses the most sustainable possible production methods – we steer clear of using E-numbers and preservatives.
Instead, our frites are pre-fried based on a traditional technique, after which we cool them down again and supply them the same day so as to ensure maximum flavour.
We welcome anyone to visit our facility to get to know us and take a look around the kitchen.
FRITES UIT ZUYD supplies its products fresh every day to businesses anywhere in the Netherlands. We advise our customers on how to store, prepare and serve our products.
Besides our signature frites, we also supply our own oil so you can bake the frites to perfection, as well as producing our own salt for frites and an exclusive range of sauces.
We inspect our frites for quality and provide special training on-site to kitchen crews on how to prepare the frites.
